Michael Anastasio is a demonstrated leader in Risk Management for the Investment Management Industry with expertise in Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Sell Side Banks as well as other areas of Financial Services.  

With that, Michael has a strong understanding of financial instruments, global regulatory regimes, corporate board governance, infrastructure builds, operational due diligence and emerging businesses like crypto/digital assets and artificial intelligence.  

Mike holds a CPA, MBA and a Chief Risk Officer designation which he utilizes to understand all aspects of a firm's financial, accounting, audit, risk, and control environment.  

Currently, Mike specializes in building out business risk programs at asset management firms and hedge funds with a strong focus on Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, Third Party Risk, Business Resilience/Disaster Recovery, Information Security Risk/Cyber, Insurance across the major financial global regulatory regimes in the US, Europe and Asia. 

Mike has orchestrated three greenfield risk buildouts over the past ten years building mature programs that are fit to purpose for the size and complexity of the organization.
